A Relapsed Cyptococcal Meningitis: Alterations of MRI Findings and Vision

Abstract

|
Cryptococcal meningitis occurs frequently as an opportunistic infection in the immunocompromised patients. Optic neuropathy could be resulted from the meningitis, which might be heralded by reactivation of cryptococcal meningitis were also
reported,which would be helpful in determining proper mangement.
A patient with the relapsed cryptococcal meningitis with alteration of MRI findings and heralding visual impairment was described in detail.
The authors thought the both alterations might be important in determining treatment schedule, its mainternance and prognosis of the meningitis.
